Nature-based solutions address both the climate and nature emergencies – protecting and restoring our natural environment while drawing down carbon – helping people and planet.
As one of the largest and least densely populated counties in Britain, Devon is the perfect place to pilot, kick-start, and scale-up innovative and impactful nature-based solutions.
Our vision is to protect and restore at least 30% of Devon for nature by 2030.
We do this by funding inspiring and hopeful nature-based solutions, such as:
- Regenerative Agriculture
- Pollinator Habitats
- Native Tree Nurseries
- Rewilding
- Species Reintroductions (such as beavers!)
- Mycoremediation (using mycelium to clean up pollution)
- Peatland Restoration
- Seaweed Farming
- Seagrass Restoration (coming soon!)
- Plastic Clean Up
- And so much more!
