Coldplay Protects and Restores Nature

Devon Environment Foundation and Conservation Collective are proud to play a part in Coldplay‘s focus on sustainability during the Music Of The Spheres World Tour

Importance of grassroots nature-based solutions

Nature-based solutions address both the climate and nature emergencies – protecting and restoring our natural environment while drawing down carbon – helping people and planet.

Devon is the perfect place to pilot, kick-start, and scale-up innovative and impactful nature-based solutions.

The rural landscape straddles two coastlines, two moors, and a patchwork of woodlands, wetlands, meadows, hedgerows, rivers, and estuaries.

Once a haven for biodiverse wildlife, recent human activities have left Devon severely nature depleted.

Our vision is to protect and restore at least 30% of Devon for nature by 2030.

We do this by funding inspiring and hopeful nature-based solutions, such as:

  • Regenerative Agriculture
  • Pollinator Habitats
  • Native Tree Nurseries
  • Rewilding
  • Species Reintroductions
  • Biochar
  • Mycoremediation (using mycelium to clean up pollution)
  • Seaweed Farming
  • Seagrass Restoration (coming soon!)
  • Plastic Clean Up
  • And so much more!

Coldplay’s support means we can direct even more vital funds to the people on the ground tackling the most important issues of our time.
