ABOUT ROCKFISH

Rockfish is passionate about protecting and restoring the health and abundance of our oceans.

Their sustainability focus includes:

  • protecting the reproductive success of fish species,
  • maintaining healthy fish population levels,
  • zero waste supply chain (not wasting any catch),
  • sourcing from sustainable and regenerative fisheries,
  • and funding DEF’s grassroots marine conservation and plastic clean-up projects.

ABOUT THE DEVON ENVIRONMENT FOUNDATION:

DEF channels funds to the most innovative and impactful grassroots nature-based solutions in Devon, providing vital kick-start or scale-up support.

Nature-based solutions tackle the climate and nature crises at the same time. They sequester carbon; increase biodiversity; prevent flooding, droughts, and soil erosion; reduce or clean up pollution; and are very cost-effective; while inspiring hope and wider action in these challenging times.

In DEF’s first three years, we supported 50 grassroots projects tackling the climate and nature crises, awarding more than £670,000. See our projects here.

To help enable even more grassroots nature-based solutions in Devon, you can make a donation to DEF here or get in touch to support in other ways.

Big thanks to all our supporters who have helped make this Crab Festival possible, especially Rockfish and RDYC for hosting, Blue Sea Company for donating the Devon Crab, and The Devon Marquee Company for letting us use the marquee free of charge.
