Autumn Match Fund 2025: One Donation, Twice the Impact
We’re excited to announce that we are running an Autumn Match Fund in partnership with The Big Give to raise even more funds for grassroots nature restoration projects in Devon!
From midday on Friday 14 November to midday Friday 28 November 2025, every £1 donated to DEF via the Big Give website will be matched – meaning you can DOUBLE your impact for nature.*

As autumn transforms Devon’s landscapes into beautiful orange hues, we are reminded how deeply connected we are to nature and its cycles around us. In Devon, we’re lucky to have many brilliant local projects working hard to protect and restore nature from our moors and meadows to our rivers, woodlands, and coastlines.
Since launching five years ago, DEF has enabled 102 grassroots projects to do their important work, awarding over £1.4 million in grants to accelerate local nature restoration.
Projects we’ve supported deliver vital impact for nature in Devon such as:
- improving river water quality 💧
- protecting seagrass beds and restoring native kelp forests 🌱
- breeding and reintroducing native species such as wildcats and turtle doves 🐈
- helping swifts and ospreys to thrive 🦅
- supporting nature-friendly farming training and farm clusters 🧑🌾
- reducing pesticide use among communities 🐝
- cleaning up plastic pollution along our coastline ♻️

DEF’s mission is simple: to accelerate nature restoration in Devon by getting funds where they are needed most, quickly and effectively.
Funds raised during our 2025 Autumn Match Fund will be added to our grant budget so we can support even more inspiring projects working to restore Devon’s natural beauty and biodiversity.
