The daffodils are in bloom, the sun has been shining, and Spring is (finally) in the air! The season of new beginnings is here, and DEF is bursting with exciting initiatives!

From protecting swifts to match fund campaigns to connecting green businesses, we’ve got a lot planned – and we’d love for you to be part of it! 🌼🌤️ 🌈  🦋 🐝  🌍

WHAT’S ON…

🎉 WE’RE CROWDFUNDING FOR SWIFTS! 🎉

European Swifts are now a red-listed species swift populations in the UK have plummeted by 60%, with 40% of that decline occurring in just the last decade.

We want Devon to be a swift haven and Devon Birds are doing their best to achieve this through the Devon Swift project. We’re currently raising funds to help install more nest cabinets and audio lures in churches across Devon to provide safe, long-term homes for these amazing birds.

We’re hosting a Green Business Breakfast at Coastal Trail Café, Dartmouth on Monday 17th March 2025, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM & we would love to see you there!

Last but not least we have more BIG plans! On Thursday 20th March at 12 noon, we’re launching our Spring Match Fund to raise vital funds for grassroots nature restoration in Devon!

Our goal: Raise £15,000 between Thurs 20 March – Fri 4 April 2025 to unlock our full match fund of £15,000 – that’s a whopping £30,000 for nature!!!
