Native Kelp Restoration ๐ Kelp forests play a vital role in marine ecosystems by providing habitat and food for a diverse range of marine species - but kelp beds are declining across the world, due to factors such as climate change, water quality, intensive farming, coastal development, and pollution.
We are excited to help fund @thembauk โs `Green Gravel` Kelp Restoration Trial to discover low-cost, scalable, practical methods to future-proof kelp beds against climate change.

Research is being conducted by the Marine Biological Association & Newcastle University supported by funding from @devon_enviro (generously provided by #GraphiteCapital and @dryrobe), and a collaboration of several other funders, listed in the final image.
